MYC Skills Development Centre

GenerationOne VTEC

Marist Youth Care has been contracted to train 275 Indigenous Australians for a guaranteed job before December 2015. The VTEC model has a strong focus on retention rates and trains job seekers for long term employment opportunities.

Marist Youth Care (MYC) is a not-for-profit agency focused on helping young people at risk and their families. With over 100 years of experience, our programs and services have been specially developed to give young people the support and skills they need to take their rightful place in the community.

Marist Youth Care’s Skills Development Centre provides pre-vocational training and employment opportunities for unemployed job seekers in Western Sydney. Our primary objective is to provide participants with the opportunity to gain full time employment and as a result, commence their journey towards social and financial independence.

Our specialist staff are trained to provide support during the pre-employment skills and job readiness phase. Successful graduates will receive mentoring for the first six months of employment.

Training programs include:

  • Construction
  • Cleaning Operations
  • Automotive
  • Customer Service/Retail
  • Business Services
  • Warehouse Operations
