MEGT Melbourne Vocational Training and Employment Centre
MEGT has been contracted to train 275 Indigenous Australians for a guaranteed job before December 2015. The VTEC model has a strong focus on retention rates and trains job seekers for long term employment opportunities.
MEGT Australia has been working with people starting or enhancing their career since 1983. MEGT provides employment, vocational training and English language to job seekers, people gaining higher qualification and international students. We also provide traineeship and apprenticeship services and mentoring to employers and their staff.
MEGT believes that vocational training leads to a career and a career helps people lead fulfilling lives. We design our programs around gaining and sustaining employment. This includes providing pre-employment training, on-the-job training, mentoring and support. We also build work experience into all our full time courses to enhance student employability.
Our training is delivered on the Job, in the classroom and on line. Our recruitment and management services division works with apprentices, trainees, staff and employers to create and sustain employment.
The MEGT VTEC will utilise our skills and experience to provide employment and training services to the indigenous community of Victoria through the GenerationOne model. We will work closely with community, elders and indigenous organisation to create careers for our indigenous people.

- Pre-vocational programs in Carpentry and Electrotechnology
