We need full time Aboriginal Teacher Aids in classrooms. The government is always releasing statistics through the media that the aboriginal children are below non-aboriginal students with their education. Yet CEC's and Teacher Aids have been fighting to be recognised for over 15 years. The students need to see a familiar face they can trust before they open up. Someone who is there all the time, not someone every now and then. The kids, like the adults don't understand why there is no money to support them in the class room, when Education is such an important part of life.
