Hi my name is Mylee Wanganeen i am 22 years old and live in Adelaide in South Australia I am from the Nurungga Tribe off of the Yorke Peninsula but have grown up in Adelaide.I am a fulltime Guardian of my 6 year old niece she came into my care when she was one and a half. I completed my South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) in 2006 after i finish school i didnt know what i wanted to do so i started joining up with all different type of job agencies to get a traineeship but had no luck, i then joined up with a Job Network voluntary to find employment they linked me as a jobseeker to Boystown which is a Job Services Provider who specialise in Youth, After a few appointments with Boystown they offered me a position to work as an Associate Consultant and i jumped at the opportunity. I have been working here for 15 months I undertake administration duties and also consult work ready clients. I am currently training to become an Employment Consultant. My employer Dale nominated me for the Playford Alive Local Heroes Awards. We attended the awards on the 29th November 2010 and i was so lucky and shocked to have won the Mayors Positive Playford Award and the 2010 Minister for the Northern Suburbs Playford Scholarship valued at $3.000 to further my Education and Training. I have been so blessed and grateful by the opportunities that have been given to me I am very appreciative. I hope that i inspire people to not to give up keep up the hard work because it will pay off in the end, there are endless possibilites and opportunities and i hope i will be able to help people and give them the opportunity that i have been given. My plans are now to further my study and get qualifications to further my career.
