Tennant Creek local receives Chief of Army Commendation

Harvey Ladd is a Tennant Creek local who enjoyed school cadets while he was growing up and subsequently joined NORFORCE in 2008. As a result, when he heard about the Defence Indigenous Development Program in early 2009 he couldn’t wait to sign up.

Harvey graduated from the program in December 2009 and soon afterwards commenced work at the Ayers Rock Resort. Harvey received consistently positive reports from his managers at the Resort, whilst at the same time continuing to parade as a NORFORCE soldier.

As a result of his efforts, Harvey was awarded a Chief of Army Commendation in August 2010.
