Pearls MiiHome and GenerationOne Covenant Signing 100 Jobs   Gold Coast, Qld, 12th March 2013 -  On Tuesday 12th March 2013, Pearls MiiHome will be hosting GenerationOne and its employees at its Research and Development Factory in Yatala.   Pearls MiiHome will join Australia’s largest demand led Indigenous employment campaign, by signing an Australian Employment Covenant, a GenerationOne initiative.    Pearls MiiHome will be making the commitment to play its role in ending the disparity in one generation through employment.    Kicking off at 10.00am, Pearls MiiHome CEO Mark Winfield will be signing an Employment Covenant with GenerationOne CEO Warren Mundine.    This will be the announcement of 100 jobs over the next year for the... GrainCorp Indigenous Employment Success

  Today GenerationOne, senior executives and Indigenous employees of GrainCorp will meet in Sydney to celebrate Indigenous employment success.    In August 2011 GrainCorp joined Australia’s largest Indigenous employment initiative, committing ten jobs through the Australian Employment Covenant.    In November last year GrainCorp superseded its Indigenous employment expectations, announcing 198 people have been successfully supported into a job - meeting the employment demands of the company.      ... EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS GenerationOne, the Australian Employment Covenant initiative, Reconciliation Australia and Social Ventures Australia have today released a step-by-step guide for managers and supervisors who are on the frontline of hiring and retaining Indigenous staff. Cater Care Reach Indigenous Job Commitments In Perth today, GenerationOne CEO Warren Mundine will meet with Executives from Cater Care Services to congratulate them on achieving their Indigenous job commitments under the Australian Employment Covenant (AEC).  At a ceremony to be held at the Cater Care Services in Stirling, WA, Mr. Mundine will present the Kelvin Genn, company Director with a certificate of recognition and achievement. GenerationOne will today host a New Zealand Mayoral Taskforce who are in Australia to examine International models of best practice in training Indigenous jobseekers for work.  Employer-directed training is the best way to ensure marginalized Indigenous jobseekers are job and work ready, and the Taskforce will examine a program being led by Marist Youth Care, one of 334 Australian Employment Covenant employers who have committed over 60,000 jobs for Indigenous Australians.  Marist Youth Care will share details of its very successful Employment and Training Program for at risk Young People, including Aboriginal young people, currently being conducted in Blacktown, New South Wales.  ...
