GENERATIONONE and the Australian School of Performing Arts once again invite all northside schools to get involved in the Hands Across Australia School Competition.
The national competition aims to raise awareness and get young Australians actively involved in the initiative to end Indigenous disparity in one generation - this generation.
The Hands Across Australia School Competition encourages schools to perform and film their ownversion of the GenerationOne theme song 'Hands Across Australia', or create their own song or rapwhich addresses their response to
Indigenous disparity. Winners of each cate- gory will receive $15,000 for their school.
Last year's competition received more than 100 entries from around the country, with a winner in every state.
This year, all schools are being encour- aged to partner with others to create their entry and reflect GenerationOne's core goal of working together. In an initiative to pro- mote the competition intoclassrooms, every school in Australia will receive a competition pack, which includes class- room resources for teachers.
