And the winners are...

Yirara and Living Waters Colleges in Alice Springs  and Collarenenbri Central School were today announced as the winners of GenerationOne’s groundbreaking Hands Across Australia School Competition for 2011, a unique national competition giving schools the opportunity to showcase their performing arts skills. Partnering with the Australian School of Performing Arts, the competition encourages teachers and students to actively engage with the issues of Indigenous education, employment and training and ending the disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in one generation – this generation. Both entries into the competition have been awarded a GenerationOne – Hands Across Australia Education Award valued at $15,000. ... More...

And the winner is...

The winners of the 2011 Hands Across Australia School Song Competition will be announced at 1:30pm (AEDST) Thursday October 20th 2011. This broadcast will be shown on Foxtel and Austar (Channel 648) as well as being streamed live on the Generation One and APAC websites at www.generationone.org.au and www.a-pac.tv After a long deliberation, Maddy Madden and Tania Major combined with industry expert judges have decided on the winners of the 2011 School Song Competition. The winners announcement will be hosted by Maddy Madden and Tania Major.
